While judging our 15th Annual National Park Photo Contest, presented by Tamron, we were wowed. By sunsets, sure. Snowy peaks, majestic geysers, regal-looking bighorns. But the thing that really fascinated our panel of judges, in a slightly morbid way, was how many submissions we received of animals eating other animals. I don’t know if I would have the stomach to keep clicking my shutter as I watched a grizzly take down a moose, but these photographers embraced their inner Lion King and captured the circle of life.

“Did this meal come with a moist owlette?”
