Get Your Best Shots at Photo Workshops in Nine National Parks

Discover how to capture Yosemite’s Half Dome at night, Saguaro’s magical cactuses and Yellowstone’s ancient-looking bison during the 2018 National Park Photo Workshops series held in nine spectacular national parks.

Coordinated by National Park Trips Media and sponsored by Tamron, this year’s National Park Photo Workshops are led by Tamron photography professionals who give you valuable tips every step of the way from pre-shoot seminar to in-the-field instruction. The focus is on sunrise, landscape, sunset, Milky Way and light painting photography.

“At sunset, when the sun goes down, people leave the park,” says Tamron photographer and workshop instructor Andre Costantini. “But 15 to 20 minutes later, the sky illuminates with amazing color.”

Participants will have front-row seats to this amazing color during the three-night, four-day workshops in Death Valley April 17-20, 2018; Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park and Grand Canyon National Park’s North Rim May 15-18, 2018; Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming Sept. 11-14, 2018; and in Yosemite National Park in California Oct. 16-19, 2018.

Three additional workshops will focus on night skies photography and are only a one-night workshop. Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve in Alamosa, Colo., June 13-14, 2018; Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Colo., Aug. 9-10; and Saguaro National Park in Tucson, Ariz., Nov. 7-8, 2018.

Workshops range in price from $349- $2,550, depending on workshop and room occupancy, and are open to beginner through advanced photographers. Some meals each day are included.
